Dear Editor:
On Sept. 8, the Boyle County Investment in Youth Sale was held at the Boyle County Stock Yards. The evening included a wonderful steak dinner sponsored by the Boyle County Cattlemen's Association. Trimmings for the meal were provided by Dievert's Catering and parents of children involved in the sale. Later, I had the privilege to represent 34 very generous donors, collectively referred to as the "Friends of Boyle County."
With the contributions of these benevolent people the Friends of Boyle County purchased five animals (three lambs, one goat, and a pig). In addition to these complete purchases, we were able to bid on other animals and influence the final sale. Though I served as their representative, I wish to acknowledge that without their hard-earned cash and their generous spirit my contribution would have been impossible. Humbly, I thank the donors for their kindness and faith in me.
