By 7 a.m., seven people had been hauled to the Casey Detention Center for processing. Others were arrested throughout the day.
While marijuana and cocaine have been a growing problem in the county for many years, methamphetamine is becoming a growing concern in the county, officials said.
"Meth has shown up more in the last four or five months in Casey County," said Deputy Dennis Allen. "This time last year, there was talk of meth, but we didn't see it."
He said people are becoming more aware of the problems with meth and the sheriff's department has had good cooperation from local residents who have reported drug activity.
Authorities said Oxycontin abuse has become more widespread, too.
The roundup actually began Thursday night and Friday when officers issued search warrants at residences on Henson Ridge and Poplar Springs Road, officers said.
Timothy Duncan was charged Thursday night with trafficking in a controlled substance after a raid at his residence on Poplar Springs Road.
After a search Friday at the Mae Gillock residence on Henson Ridge, officers discovered a quantity of illegal prescription drugs. Gillock was charged with trafficking in illegal pills and tampering with physical evidence when she reportedly tried to conceal pills from deputies. Another unidentified person also was arrested during the search.
After the raid, officers put yellow tape around the property in an attempt to keep people out.
