Pumpkin Run is Sunday

The Toliver Pumpkin Fun Run will begin at 4 p.m. Sunday. It is an annual event sponsored by Toliver Elementary School PTO. The one-mile run starts and ends at the school.

This event is open to all students, preschool to fifth grade from any school. Hand-painted prizes will be awarded to the overall girl and boy winners, plus the first three girl and boy winners in each age group will receive a ribbon. The school with the highest class participation also will win a trophy.

Register by Friday or at 3:30 p.m. before the run.

Revival set at Perryville church

PERRYVILLE - A revival will be 7 p.m. Wednesday through Friday at First Baptist Church. The Rev. Darrell Nathan of Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Louisville will be evangelist.

Chili supper, auction set in Crab Orchard

CRAB ORCHARD - Crab Orchard Veterans Monument will host a chili supper and auction 5:30 p.m. Friday at the Broughtontown Community Center. Proceeds go towards park additions. Donated items such as pies, cakes, and hams are needed for the auction. Contact Bob Turpin at (606) 355-9010 for more information.

Open house Tuesday at Lincoln 911 center

STANFORD - Open house will be observed from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at Lincoln County 911 Emergency Communications, 319 West Main St. People are welcome to view facilities upgrades and information about the advanced 911 system, and information about emergency assistance. The open house will serve desserts made by the staff.

Danville band to benefit from sales

Lee's Famous Recipe, 610. S. Fourth St., will hold Band Day Tuesday. A portion of all sales will benefit the Danville High School Band. Catering is available during lunch hour for local businesses.

Fish fry planned in Paint Lick

PAINT LICK - A fish fry will be held 5-7 p.m. Saturday at Fairview Christian Church in Paint Lick. The cost is $6 for all you can eat.

MEETINGS

Boyle County Board of Education - 7 p.m. Thursday at the high school library. Items on the agenda include status reports on construction projects, emergency certification of teachers, Christmas and New Year's holidays for employees.

Clark's Run Environmental and Educational Corp. - 7 p.m. Tuesday in the basement of the Boyle County Cooperative Extension Service building, 445 N. Danville bypass. The members are working together to protect and improve the water quality of Clark's Run, which flows through Boyle County; continue the development of the recreational trail along Clark's Run; and conduct watershed educational programs.

Danville/Boyle County Convention and Visitors Bureau - 8 a.m. Tuesday at McClure-Barbee House, Fourth Street and Martin Luther King Boulevard. Routine business is on the agenda.
