HARRODSBURG - Old Fort Harrod State Park will host its annual Holiday Gala 6-9 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
Attendees can stroll through the front grounds of the fort, where more than 1,000 luminaries will guide them. Candlelit tours of the 18th-century fort replica will be held, and the gift shop will be stocked with holiday gift-giving ideas.
The 19th-century Victorian Mansion Museum will feature a Christmas Tree Festival, including Evergreen, The Talking Tree. The museum will be professionally decorated with evergreens, holly, fruit garlands and magnolia.
Santa Claus will be at the museum, as well as holiday music, refreshments and exhibits. Singers also will perform carols.
Tickets can be purchased at the fort or museum; cost is $3 for adults and $2 for children 6 to 12.
