A man and his ex-wife are facing drug charges after police responded to a domestic call at her residence last week.

Linda Bugg, 191 Douglas Ave., Stanford, and David Bugg, of Harrodsburg, were each charged with possession of marijuana and David Bugg also was cited for possession of cocaine.

Linda Bugg called dispatchers at the Lincoln County 911 center around 11 p.m. and said her ex-husband was at her home trying to steal her medication.

When Sheriff Shelby Lakes arrived at the scene, David Bugg was sitting on the front porch. Linda Bugg and a male juvenile were in the house and no violence was reported from either party.

Inside the home, police found two prescription bottles for Xanax and another controlled substance on a table in the living room. Both were two days old and had pills missing if the medication was taken as prescribed, according to Lakes.

Linda Bugg appeared visibly intoxicated and tests verified that she was.

Bugg consented to a search of her home, and Lakes called Deputy Linda Demaree and the department's drug dog, Wodan, to come out to the residence and conduct a search.

Linda Bugg showed the officers where her bedroom was, as well as the room David Bugg had been sleeping since his arrival at the residence a few days earlier.

Police reportedly found drugs and drug paraphernalia, including a scale, two pipes, a spoon with cocaine residue, a baggie containing cocaine and a red checkbook box with the bags of marijuana inside.

David Bugg also consented to a search of his vehicle where police, with assistance from Wodan, reportedly found a substance that tested positive for cocaine.

David Bugg was arrested and taken to the Lincoln County Regional Jail, where he was released on 10 percent of a $10,000 bond.
