James T. Bryant

James Tolbert Bryant, 55, of Orlando, Fla., died Sunday in Orlando.

Born Jan. 16, 1950, in Fort Knox, he was a son of the late James E. and Gladys Pope Bryant. He was an employee of Sneider Trucking Co. and a member of First Baptist Church, Second and Walnut streets. He also was a graduate of Bate High School and a Navy veteran.

Survivors include his wife, Doretta Bryant; a daughter, Mary Robinson of Ashland; four stepdaughters, Sonia Jones of Orlando, Rosalynn Evans of Brooklyn, N.Y., Colleen Evans and Stefanie Thomas, both of New Jersey; a son, Edmond C. Bryant of Danville; a brother, Howard Bryant of Panama City, Fla.; and seven grandchildren.

Services will be 11:30 a.m. Friday at First Baptist Church by the Revs. J.D. Short and Ronald McCowan. Burial be in Camp Nelson National Cemetery.

Visitation is after 10 a.m. Friday at the church.

Smith-Jackson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Willie M. Garr

Willie Mac Garr, 89, of Stanford, died Monday at her home.

Born July 4, 1916, in Lincoln County, she was a daughter of the late Ennies and Alice Garr. She was a former employee of Hub Frankel department store, a member of Stanford First Baptist Church and the Pansy Club.

Survivors include four sisters, Pauline Walker, Lottie Gooch, Hazel Jones and Vivian Welch, all of Stanford.

Services will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Stanford First Baptist Church by the Rev. Floyd R. Raglin. Burial will be in Hilldale Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Edward Gooch, Michael Welch, Danny Jones, Ennies Penman, Robin Brown and Dennis Penman. Honorary pallbearers are Dr. Roosevelt Walker, James M. Welch, Keith Brown, Michael Welch and members of the Pansy Club.

Visitation will be after 11 a.m. Thursday.

Ruby Coffman

HARRODSBURG - Ruby Coffman, 83, died Tuesday at James B. Haggin Memorial Hospital. Arrangements are incomplete at Alexander & Royalty Funeral Home.

Rose Reynolds

LANCASTER - Rose Reynolds, 42, of Lancaster, died Tuesday at Fort Logan Hospital.

Born July 18, 1963, in Casey County, she was a daughter of the late Charlie and Patsy Barker Coleman. She was a homemaker and a member of Church on the Rock.

Survivors include her husband, Roy Reynolds Jr.; a daughter, Tina Laws of Berea; four stepsons, Roy L. and Ricky Reynolds, both of Louisville, Jeff Reynolds of Lancaster and Charlie Reynolds of Eubank; a stepdaughter, Michelle Wall of Lancaster; four brothers, Sherman Coleman of McKinney, Charles Coleman of Kings Mountain, Johnny Coleman of South Fork and Hershell Coleman of Berea; and four grandchildren.

Services will be 2 p.m. Friday at Spurlin Funeral Home by Mark Sharvior. Burial will be in Double Springs Cemetery.

Visitation will be 6-9 p.m. Thursday.

Alma S. Reynolds

HARRODSBURG - Services for Alma Sanford Reynolds, 94, of Baxter Road, Salvisa, will be 1 p.m. Friday at Ransdell Funeral Chapel by Brian Burkhead and Kenneth Preston. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery.

She died Monday at James B. Haggin Memorial Hospital.

Born May 5, 1911, in Mercer County, she was a daughter of the late George T. and Elva Burns Sanford. She operated Reynolds Nursery for many years and was a member of the Bohon Church of Christ. She attended Hopewell Baptist Church.

Survivors include a son, Harold L. Reynolds of Salvisa; a stepson, Walter D. Reynolds of Salvisa; a sister, Naomi Hatchett of Marretta, Ga.; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Arthur W. Reynolds.

Pallbearers will be Steven and Larry Baxter, Jason Chagan, Arthur and Wess Reynolds and Paul Wayne Peavler. Honorary pallbearers are members of her Sunday school class.

Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Thursday at Ransdell Funeral Chapel.

Memorial contributions may be sent to Terrapin Volunteer Fire Department.

Melvin F. Reed

MORELAND - Services for Melvin Floyd Reed, 81, of Stanford, formerly of Junction City, were today at W.L. Pruitt Funeral Home by the Rev. Garry Allen. Burial was in Reed Cemetery.

He died Monday at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center.

Pallbearers were John and Logan Phillips, Terry Ross, Herbert Downs and William Griffin.
