Frederick Lawrence Collier, 78, of Lacanto, FL., died Sunday, Dec. 4 at his home.
A native of Stanford, he was born Sept. 29, 1927 to the late Mallon "Ike� and Lucy Collier. He was affiliated with the Baptist faith, a retired machinist for the IBM Corporation, a member of the Lincoln Masonic Lodge #60 and the Robert M. Sircle Masonic Lodge #954 in Lexington, a WWII Army veteran, and the widower of Myrtle Woods Collier. He also enjoyed gunsmithing.
Survivors include a son, Larry (Karen) Collier of Hernando, FL.; a daughter, Sharon (Bill) Carman of Lawrenceburg; a brother, Marion (Mary) Collier of Tyler, TX.; three grandchildren, Amanda (Rodney) Griffin, Shannon Collier and Grant Miller; four great grandchildren, Rodney Griffin, Reilly Griffin, Victoria Miller and Hunter Miller; and a special friend, Nancy Ewing of Danville.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Dec. 10 at the Fox Funeral Home with Bro. Vola Brown officiating. Burial was in Buffalo Springs Cemetery. Masonic services were conducted.
