LIBERTY - The local Emergency Management Agency and firefighters are making plans on what equipment is necessary to comply with the Department of Homeland Security requirements.
Casey Fiscal Court accepted a bid Monday from Winn Fire and Rescue Equipment in Corbin for the equipment.
Rick Wesley, director of the Emergency Management Agency, and Judge-Executive Ronald Wright will meet with firefighters from the rural fire departments to decide what is needed. The county received a grant for more than $50,000 earlier this year to purchase equipment.
