Dorothy Caudill Sims, 79, of Arnold Sims Road, Kings Mountain, died Wednesday, Dec. 14 at the Fort Logan Hospital in Stanford.
A native of Lincoln Co., she was born Oct. 9, 1926 to the late Hassel Caudill and Matila Bastin Caudill. He was a retired employee of Cowden Manufacturing Co., member of Pond Missionary Baptist Church in Kings Mountain, and widow of Arnold Sims.
She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Myrtle Owens and Kathleen Wallen.
Survivors include two sons, Sherrill (Deborah) Sims of Crab Orchard and Stevie (Diane) Sims of Kings Mountain; two daughters, Susie (Jimmy) Hamilton of Waynesburg and Shirley (Paul) Childers of Kings Mountain; two brothers, Richard Caudill of Ohio and Willie Caudill of Kings Mountain; and three sisters, Glenna Falconberry, Ivedean Fields, and Ruby Ritchie all of Ohio; six grandchildren, James Hamilton, Richard Hamilton, Tim (Lisa) Childers, Chris (Karen) Sims, Caressa (Eric) Coots and Amber Sims; and four great grandchildren, William and Andrew Sims, Morgan Hamilton and Macy Childers.
