Louvenia Lasure Douglas, 64, of Stanford, died Sunday, Jan. 8 at her home.
A native of Stanford, she was born May 28, 1941 to the late Manles and Grace Gilpin Lasure. She was a retired teacher having taught at Broughtontown and Stanford Elementary Schools and a member of Stanford Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Vernon Douglas of Stanford; three sons, Mark (Gina) Douglas and Wesley (Trisha) Douglas both of Stanford and Richard Douglas of Lexington; three brothers, Charles Lasure of Narcoosee, FL., and Manles and Paul Lasure both of Stanford; four sisters, Thelma Sebastian and Florence Misenheimer both of Stanford, Alberta Wood of Danville, and Mary Still of Louisville; three granddaughters, Brittany, Lauren, and Claudia Douglas; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, Jan. 11 at the Spurlin Funeral Home in Stanford with Rev. Dale Denton officiating. Burial was in Buffalo Springs Cemetery.
