PERRYVILLE - Gov. Ernie Fletcher will be at Perryville Battlefield State Historic Site on Mackville Road 12:30 p.m. Friday to make an announcement concerning the 2006 re-enactment of the Battle of Perryville. A reception will follow at the museum.
Officials with the Danville-Boyle County Convention and Visitors Bureau, state Department of Parks and Commerce Cabinet, governor's office and Perryville Battlefield Preservation Association will be on hand for the announcement.
The Perryville Battlefield Commission will meet at 9:30 a.m. Friday in the Civil War Hall at Perryville Battlefield State Historic Site. The agenda includes an update on status of preservation and a discussion of the strategic plans for the future.
