After a reception at the Perryville American Legion hall, the couple took a Caribbean cruise.
The bride is the daughter of Ervin and Paula Vanover of Danville. She is a 1997 graduate of Boyle County High School, a 2002 graduate of Western Kentucky University and a member of Alpha Gamma Delta. She is a second-grade teacher in Logan County.
The groom is the grandson of Thelma Powell of Scottsville and nephew of Mike and Julia Thomas of Scottsville. He is a 1998 graduate of Allen County-Scottsville High School, a 2004 graduate of Western Kentucky University and a member of Farm House Fraternity. He is an employee of the Kentucky Department of Environmental Protection.
The couple live in Rockfield.

Malinda Ann Simpson and Jeff Irvin Raines were married Nov. 18 at First Baptist Church, Broadway, by the Rev. Barry Harmon.
Marilyn Webb of Munfordville was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Sarah Hudson, daughter of the bride, Summer Caldwell and Aleene Simpson, sister-in-law of the bride.
Robb Raines, brother of the groom, was best man. Groomsmen were Jeff Sowders, Leo Sinkhorn and Jason Price.
After a reception at the church, the couple made a wedding trip to Gatlinburg, Tenn.

The groom is the son of Irvin and Helen Raines of Bryantsville and is employed by Arnold Glass in Danville.
