Wilbur and Goldie Braymer of Danville had been friends since sixth-grade and went to high school together in Braymer, Mo., but went their separate ways after graduation.
At their 50th high school reunion in 1997, they met again. Goldie's husband had died recently and Wilbur was divorced. They renewed their friendship and married in 2001. Their fifth anniversary was Feb. 10.
Wilbur Braymer has been in Danville since starting his business, Braymer Equipment in Junction City, in 1979. Goldie was living in Topeka, Kan.
