Joe Van Hutchison

Joe Van Hutchison, 58, of Eubank, died Monday, Feb. 13 in Raritan Township, NJ.

A native of Lincoln Co., he was born Tuesday, March 4, 1947 to the late Earl D. Hutchison and Louise Pendigraph Hutchison of Highland. He was a truck driver for Core-Trans in Somerset, a Marine Corps veteran of the Vietnam War, and a member of the Highland Methodist Church.

He was also preceded in death by a son, Shawn Hutchison.

Survivors include his fiance, Gayle Good of Eubank; two sons, Joseph Van Hutchison of Highland and Noah Todd Hutchison of Ocala, FL.; one daughter, Dana Pyles of White Plains; one brother, Don Lee Hutchison of Danville; one sister, Linda (Terry) Kimberlin of Louisville; and four grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Saturday, Feb. 18 at the Highland Methodist Church with Bro. Don Scilley officiating. Burial was in the Highland Methodist Cemetery.

Active pallbearers were Edward Kimberlin, Terry Neal, Fonzo McGuffey, Sam Cordier, Dailey Hutchison, Joseph Hutchison, Paul Faulkner, Russ Sweazy, Charles Folger, Todd Hutchison, and Kevin Pendigraph.

Military rites were conducted by Caswell Saufley Post #18 of the American Legion.

Fox Funeral Home of Stanford was in charge of the arrangements.
