HARRODSBURG - Five people have been arrested on drug-related charges, police said.
William J. Ellis Jr., 18, 191 Tyler Ave., was arrested Saturday on possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia charges. Patrolman Keith Addison reported that he observed suspicious activity and possible odor of marijuana when he apprehended Ellis at Papa John's Pizza.
Ellis was lodged in Boyle County Detention Center.
Darrell L. Combs, 46, of 300 Longview Drive; Allen L. Moore, 35, and Dewey F. Baxter, 48, both of 700 Old Dixville Road, were arrested Wednesday on possession or marijuana and a controlled substance charges by Addison.
Combs also was charged with expired registration plate, driving after license suspended for DUI, and two outstanding warrants.
A bag of marijuana and a bag of hydrocodone pills were reportedly found after a search of the vehicle.
The three men were lodged in the Boyle jail.
Thomas Parker Roberts, 40, 295 Connection Road, Waynesburg, was charged Wednesday with possession of marijuana, DUI and no driver's license. He was arrested after Patrolman Gerald Wooldridge stopped Roberts' vehicle on Main Street for having an incorrect license plate on the vehicle.
