Meetings

Danville Board of Education - 7 p.m. Thursday at the board office on Martin Luther King Blvd. The agenda includes a review and acceptance of bids for the second phase of the DHS Renovation Project and creation of certified and classified positions for Striving Readers Grant. A work session will follow.

Danville City Commission - 8 a.m. Thursday at city hall to discuss departmental assessments of public safety, utilities, public works, finance, informational technology, human resources and records; work team reports and discussion on performance measures, cost reduction, customer service, health insurance and technology; goals and objectives and community forum process.

Boyle County Democratic Women's Club - 7 p.m. Thursday at Cutter's Restaurant on Hustonville Road. The meeting will consist of eight short speeches from spring primary candidates for the following offices: County Jailer, Circuit Clerk, Magistrate District #3, and Magistrate District #5. Everyone is welcome to attend.
