From time to time, projects in town are such that they capture your attention. One such project is the newly burnished exterior of yard and plants at the front of St. Peter and Paul Catholic church. The members of this church have provided their house of worship with a stunning entrance and one that enhances the building while identifying the members as those who think seriously about their faith and provide evidence that the place of worship should be seen as exemplary in an inviting atmosphere to those who might attend.
The new grass, trees, plants and shrubs have changed the former scenario to an open, bright, and attractive setting for the venerable old church. While the members are no doubt proud of the work done it is also true that this project enhances everything on Main Street. It is not possible to fully appreciate this effort by driving by it. One must walk and stand in place while the eye finds the nuance of design.
