Garrard grand jury indicts 8

LANCASTER - A Nicholasville man was charged with nine different counts by a Garrard County grand jury, ranging from criminal mischief to theft, after he allegedly burglarized the homes of various Garrard County residents including his parents.

Jessie T. Noe, Rebel Road, Nicholasville, is charged with fraudulent use of a credit card when he unlawfully used his parents credit card March 1 to April 2, in Garrard County. Noe charged more than $100 in a six-month period with the intent to defraud.

Noe is charged with theft by unlawful taking when he unlawfully took control over scrap aluminum belonging to his parents from the same time period. The defendant is also charged with burglary, first-degree, when he unlawfully entered the home of his parents with the intent to commit a crime and was armed with a deadly weapon.

In addition, Noe is charged with three more counts of theft by unlawful taking over $300, from April 6-8, by unlawfully exercising control over copper wire belonging to Roger Ayers, Jim Skinner and Joe Arnold, and three counts of criminal mischief, first-degree, when he intentionally damaged and destroyed the residences of Ayers, Skinner and Arnold, causing pecuniary loss in excess of $1,000.

Deputy Tim Davis with the Garrard County Sheriff's Department was witness for the grand jury. Bond was set at $10,000 cash.

Also indicted were:

* Timothy Quisenberry, 20, 53 Martin Luther King, Lancaster, charged with trafficking in a controlled substance, first-degree, with a firearm when he knowingly and unlawfully trafficked in cocaine and methamphetamine, both Schedule II controlled substances, while possessing a firearm on March 4.

Officer Allen Weston was witness for the grand jury. Bond was set at $10,000 cash.

* Richard Murphy, 23, 403 S. Campbell St., Lancaster, indicted for possession of a controlled substance, first-degree, second offense, when he knowingly and unlawfully possessed cocaine on March 4, having been convicted of the same by final judgment of the Garrard Circuit Court in 2005.

Weston was witness for the grand jury. The defendant was issued a summons to appear in court.

* John Turner, 32, 5059 Ky. 150 East, Crab Orchard, charged with possession of a controlled substance, first-degree, second offense, when he knowingly and unlawfully possessed cocaine on Feb. 9, a controlled substance, having been convicted of the same by final judgment of the Lincoln Circuit Court in 1993. Turner is also charged with public intoxication.

Officer Willie Skeens was witness for the grand jury. The defendant was issued a summons to appear in court.

* Everett Barker, Jr., 65, 2586 Mount Hebron Road, Lancaster, charged with trafficking in marijuana, less than 8 ounces, from Feb. 22, and trafficking in a controlled substance, first-degree, by knowingly and unlawfully trafficking in Methadone, a Schedule II narcotic.

Barker is also charged with trafficking in a controlled substance, second-degree, by knowingly and unlawfully trafficking in Loratab, a Schedule III controlled substance, and one count of controlled substance not in original container when he possessed a controlled substance not in the container in which it was delivered to him. He is also charged with no or expired registration plates when he operated a motor vehicle with expired registration plates.

Garrard County Sheriff's Deputy Dave Amon was witness for the grand jury. The defendant was issued a summons to appear in court.

* Patricia Richards, 43, P.O. Box 85, Catlettsburg, charged with theft by deception, valued at $300 or more, when she obtained property or services from Carolyn Halcom by passing a check on Oct. 12, knowing that it would not be honored by the drawee.

The defendant was issued a summons to appear in court.
