Music

Lancaster Christian Church - Sunday, The Joy Belles trio will present "When God Dips His Love." Sunday school starts at 9:50 a.m. and worship at 10:50 a.m. "See That No One Misleads You" is the topic of pastor Joseph Hood's sermon. Scripture reading is Mark 13:1-6. After the children's sermon, all young people are invited to play bells. A nursery also is provided.

Ephesus Baptist Church - 11 a.m. Sunday for a Fifth Sunday singing with Just in Tyme. The church is on Ky. 643 between Ottenheim and Crab Orchard.

Mount Freeman Baptist Church - 6-9 p.m. Saturday, gospel singing to benefit Boyle County Relay for Life. Performers include Georgetta Covey, Tony Pike and family, Sheila Alcorn, Steel Voice, Jerry Finley, Junior Fields, Sherry Cloyd and Barry Harmon and Praise Team. At 6 p.m. Sunday the church will have The Prime Timers.

Perryville Baptist Church - 10:45 a.m. Sunday, Oneida Bible Institute Youth Choir. The youth will sing and give testimonies and Bud Underwood, president of Oneida Bible Institute, will be the morning speaker. The church is at 202 S. Bragg St.

Locust Grove Baptist Church - 7 p.m. Sunday with Johnie Dean. The church is on Ky. 50.

Parlor Grove Baptist Church - 7 p.m. Sunday-May 5. Evangelist is Shelby Reynolds.

Hedgeville Baptist Church - 11 a.m. and 7 p.m. Sunday with Kenon McWhorter as speaker. At 7 p.m. Monday and Tuesday, Brian Burkhead will speak. At 7 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday, Jeremy Gilliam is speaker. A nursery and interpreter for the deaf will be provided. The church is at 4700 Lancaster Road.

Immanuel Baptist Church - 6 p.m. Sunday for the annual Immanuel Gathering. The church is off U.S. 127 at the Boyle and Mercer county line on Faulkner.

First Baptist Church on Walnut Street - May Friendship Day at 2 p.m. May 5 with Ann Sleet in charge of the program "Signs of Growth." Yolantha Pace will speak about Haiti. Church Women United are in charge. The 50th anniversary of the LEAST COIN will be celebrated with each woman bringing 50 pennies to support initiatives that promote peace and reconciliation in families, work places, and governments. With each woman's prayers and pennies, the efforts of the fellowship grow, touching the lives of other women throughout the world.

Boneyville Baptist Church - 3:30 p.m. Sunday for the 114th anniversary of the church. Elder Robert L. Coulter and members will celebrate. The Rev. James Barleston Sr. and congregation of Maple Street Baptist Church will be the guests.

Calvary Hill Baptist Church - Saturday for women's conference titled "Contented Ordinary Women." It is being presented by Saving Grace III. Ruby Toombs, Judy Leathers, Molly Stevens, and a special guest will be speaking about finding contentment with who you are, what you have, and in any circumstance. The group also will minister in song. Registration begins at 9:30 a.m. To preregister, call (606) 365-0224. The church is at 100 John Street in Stanford.

Food sales

Perryville Baptist Church - 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. May 5 and 6 for a yard sale in the church annex to fund a mission trip to Louisiana. The event will be held rain or shine. Grilled hamburgers and hot dogs will be sold May 6.

Fairview Christian Church - 5-7 p.m. May 6 for an all-you-can-eat fish fry. Fish, french fries, baked beans, cole slaw, hush puppies, drinks and dessert will be served. Cost is $6 for adults and $3 for children under 6. The church is on Ky. 52, east of Lancaster.

Hope Independent Church - 12:30 p.m. Saturday for a fish fry, bake sale and yard sale. Youth group is holding the event to raise money to buy a church van. For orders, call (859) 236-6318. Event is at the church at 888 Duncan Hill.
