CRAB ORCHARD - Kentucky Utilities customers in the Crab Orchard area of Lincoln County will experience a power outage beginning about 5 p.m. Monday and lasting about four hours.
Circuitry in the new substation transformer on Ky. 39 near Crab Orchard Elementary School is to be upgraded during the planned outage. The improvements being made will be the final phase of a two-year project to enhance overall reliability in the area.
The outage will affect all customers in the city limits of Crab Orchard and those customers north on Ky. 39 toward the Preachersville area.
In the event of inclement weather, the outage will be rescheduled.
