The National Association of Letter Carriers will have its annual food drive Saturday. Letter carriers will pick up donations that are left on or in the mailboxes. The pick-up will be in Danville, Junction City, Parksville and Perryville mail routes.
The food will be donated to food banks at First Baptist in Danville, Junction City Baptist and Perryville Baptist churches. Organizer Dale Joslyn said all the food collected will stay in the county to help feed people.
Last year, the carriers collected 9,000 pounds.
Do not leave items that have expired or are in glass containers. Joslyn said residents who forget or can't put out their food Saturday can put it out Monday.
