HARRODSBURG - A Harrodsburg man was arrested Monday for allegedly trying to steal a coffee maker and cans of paint from the Mercer County Fairgrounds, where he used to work.
Elmer Barnes, 82, was charged with burglary and criminal trespassing after fairground employees saw him trying to take the items, police said. Barnes had previously been banned from the property for allegedly taking items for his own personal use, police said.
