Eugene "Red" Sparkman, 67, of Crab Orchard, died Monday, May 15 at his home.
A native of Pineville, he was born Jan. 21, 1939 to the late Chester and Rosie Belle Sparkman. He was the former owner/operator of the Elm Street Auction in Crab Orchard, was a furniture maker, and attended the Crab Orchard Block Pentecostal Church.
Survivors include two sons, Berry Gene Sparkman of Crab Orchard and John Matthew Sparkman of Lancaster; three brothers, Lonzo Sparkman of Stanford, Oscar Sparkman of Junction City and Paul Sparkman; three sisters, Pauline Lynn, Irene Sparkman, and Kathleen Sparkman; and four grandchildren.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
McKnight Funeral Home of Crab Orchard is in charge of the arrangements.
