to host Blue Grass gospel concert

Bethel Christian Church will host a Blue Grass gospel concert on Sunday, June 25 following the morning service which begins at 10:30. The concert will feature The Jason Coulter Band from Lincoln County and The Howard Family from Jackson County. For more information, call Danny Smith at 887-2947.

All God's Children

to hold golf scramble

All God's Children is holding a golf scramble on Friday, July 14 at Golf Club of the Bluegrass (formerly Widow's Watch).

The entry fee is $75 per person or $300 per team, and includes Green fees cart rental, range balls, breakfast, lunch, cold soft drinks and water on the course, a gift for all participants and awards.

Registration and mulligan purchase for the morning groups will begin at 8 a.m., with the shotgun start at 9. The afternoon groups will register and purchase mulligans at noon, and the shotgun start is at 1:30 p.m.

Awards will be given for first, second and third-place team winners, the longest drive, closest to the pin and straightest drive. A 2006 Chevy Colorado truck donated by Sutherland Chevrolet will be awarded for a hole-in-one.

All proceeds will benefit the Mother-Baby Home and Independent Living Program of All God's Children, Inc. A portion of your entry fee is tax deductible.

Jessamine food pantry to hold board meeting

The Jessamine County Food Pantry will have its annual board meeting at 2 p.m. in the basement of the Nicholasville Christian Church. JCFP was started by the Jessamine Ministerial Association and now functions as an independent, non-profit organization designed to supplement the diets of needy people in Jessamine County.
