Walter Miller, Jr.

Walter Miller, Jr. , 85, of Lexington, formerly of Danville died Tuesday, June 6 at his residence.

A native of Lincoln Co., he was born Feb. 23, 1921 to the late Walter Sr. and Mary Ann Wilcher Miller. He was a former manager of Kroger in Stanford, worked at a farm implement service and was a member of Gardenside Christian Church in Lexington, a Kentucky Colonel, and a WWII veteran where he served in the United States Air Force.

Survivors include his companion, Nancy Jane Russell of Lexington; two daughters, Rebecca Miller of Bowling Green and Becky Letcher of Lexington; one sister, Jennie K. Anderson of Lexington; and two grandchildren, Caryn and Stacey Letcher.

Funeral services were held Saturday, June 10 at W. L. Pruitt Funeral Home in Moreland with David Fralix officiating. Burial was be in the Lancaster City Cemetery.

Active pallbearers were Ray DeBolt, John Wayne Toombs, Jimmy Cooper, Joseph Hafley, John Matheny, and Paul Dillon. Honorary pallbearers were Caryn and Stacey Letcher, James Toombs, and Herlin Atwood.
