Oaks and Simpson reunion

The Oaks and Simpson reunion will be held at the old McKinney gym on Saturday, July 1 at 12 noon. Please bring a covered dish. All family and friends are invited to attend. For more information, call 365-3886.

LC Dance Team to hold yard sale

The Lincoln County Middle School Dance Team will be having a yard sale on Saturday, July 1 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the lawn of Lincoln County High School. In case of rain, the yard sale will be held on the porch at the Lincoln County Middle School.

Crab Orchard Special Called meeting

A special meeting will be held Thursday, June 22 at 2 p.m. in the Crab Orchard City Hall for the second reading of Ordinance #06-06-01, Budget Ordinance and policies for checks. Commissioner's work session will be held Monday, June 26 at 6:30 p.m.

Southern Kentucky Inventors/Innovators

The Southern Kentucky Inventors and Innovators Council will meet for the first time on Thursday, July 6 from 6:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. in the conference room at the LC Courthouse. The guest speaker will be Hank Gevedon-Cofounder and President of ProtoPlace in Waynesburg. The topic of the meeting will be: Making your idea three-dimensional.

Whitfield representative to be in Hustonville

Congressman Ed Whitfield invites Lincoln County residents seeking federal assistance or experiencing problems involving federal agencies to meet with eastern regional Field Representative, Sandy Simpson from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Thursday, June 22 at the Hustonville City Hall building. Inquiries about social security, medicare, veterans benefits or other federal programs and comments on issues before Congress are welcome.

Rain Tree County Festival

The Lincoln County Tourism Committee is seeking information, pictures, and stories of the 1956 film - Rain Tree County. The film was shot in the Goshen Community and other areas of Lincoln County. Baby Show at the Fair

The Lincoln County Fair Baby Show will be Wednesday, July 5 at 7 p.m. Baby must be accompanied by parent or adult. Trophies will be given. There is a $5 entry fee. Registration will begin at 6:15 P.M. Babies in Classes 7, 8 and 9 must NOT have celebrated their third birthday by July 1 (current year). Mary Lou Kirkpatrick, Committee co-chairman.

The Lincoln County Fair Adult Talent Show will be held Friday, July 7 at 9:00 p.m. This competition is for anyone ages 22 or older. Cash prizes will be awarded. For registration information please call Stacy Story at 365-8688, Mary Ann May at 365-9607 or Kerry Jones at 365-9267.

Lincoln County Fair Talent Show

The Lincoln County Fair Talent Show will be held Friday, July 7 at 7:00 p.m. Division I will be for ages 6-12. Division II will be for ages 13-21. The first five places will go on to compete at the Kentucky State Fair. Cash prizes will be awarded in both divisions. Heritage Quilt Show

The second annual Heritage Quilt Show will be presented Saturday, July 15 at the Stanford Presbyterian Church. The show will feature antique, as well as modern, quilts created by residents of Lincoln County. Many of the quilts displayed last year will be on view again this year. Prizes will not be awarded this year, however, everyone who attends will have the opportunity to vote for what they consider the "best of show". Everyone is encouraged to enter their family heirloom or personal creation. Quilts must be entered on Friday, July 14, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Stanford Presbyterian Church on East Main Street. Tourism Committee seeks volunteers

The Lincoln County Tourism Committee will have a booth to showcase our county at the Lincoln County Fair. The dates are July 3-8. We are looking for volunteers to staff our booth each night. Volunteers will be provided admission tickets and information to assist them in staffing the booth from 6:00 til 10:00 each night. If you would like to volunteer to staff our booth or need more information, please contact Luzia Foster 365-2536 or 365-2883. The deadline is June 25.

Miss Pre-Teen and Miss Teen Pagents

Lincoln County Pre-Teen and Teen pageants are Tuesday, July 3. The Pre-Teen pageant is for Lincoln County girls 8 to 12 years of age and the Teen pageant is for Lincoln County girls 13 to 16 years of age. Applications can be picked up at the Lincoln County Extension office and for information call 606-365-0179.

Boyle County High 1976 Class Reunion
