Polly Hendren

Polly Hendren, of Bradenton, Fla., died June 23 in Florida.

Born May 4, 1913, in Danville, she was a daughter of the late William H. and Minnie Davis Robinson. She was a homemaker and the widow of Horace Hendren.

Survivors include her daughter, Pegi S. Hendren Larson of Bradenton; and a sister, Dottie Jordon of Venice, Fla.

Graveside services will be held at a later date in Bellevue Cemetery.

Preston-Pruitt Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Vernon C. Tinsley

STANFORD - Vernon Clyde Tinsley, 76, of McKinney, died Thursday at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center. Arrangements are incomplete at Spurlin Funeral Home.

Donald L. Evans

MORELAND - Services for Donald Lee "Duck" Evans, 55, of Danville, will be 11 a.m. Saturday at W.L. Pruitt Funeral Home. Burial will be in Hustonville Cemetery.

He died Thursday at his home.

Born Oct. 6, 1950, he was the son of the late Donald L. Evans and Elizabeth Childers Brock Baxter. He owned and operated Don's Custom Upholstery for 17 years. He was a former two-time state commander of the Sons of AmVets in Kentucky and second vice-commander of Sons of AmVets Post 123, Danville.

Survivors include his sister, Linda Brock of Lexington, N.C.; two half sisters, Darlene Easton of Bloomington, Ind., and Debbie Witt of Gold Hill, Ore.; two half brothers, Cleo G. Brock Jr. of Rockingham, N.C., and Robert Brock of Danville; a stepsister, Pam Echeveria of Ohio; and four stepbrothers, Randy, Dewey, Bobby and Terry Baxter, all of Danville.

Pallbearers will be Joe Eades, Clyde Davenport, Jim Beatty, Gene Hartley, Randall Phillips, Donald McElroy and John Christopher.

Honorary pallbearers are John Caudill, Dwayne Wright, Willie Clark and members of Sons of AmVets.

Visitation will be after 9:30 a.m. Saturday.
