WINCHESTER - Zeke Edwards hit a three-run home run Thursday and Matthew Honchell tossed a complete game shutout as the Mercer County beat Winchester 9-0 in the finals of the District 3 13-14 Year Old All-Stars tournament.
Mercer will next host the state tournament, which begins July 21. Games will be played at Mercer County High School and Anderson Dean Park.
Ricky Ryan went 4-4 Thursday, and Mercer also beat Anderson County 21-1 and Winchester 10-9 to reach the championship game.
