Three Casey thefts investigated

LIBERTY - Three thefts, one at a grocery and two at residences, are being investigated by Casey County Deputy Sheriff Chad Weddle.

Someone broke in Shannons Grocery at the junction of Ky. 910 and Ky. 501 by forcing the front door open, Weddle Said. About 14 cartons of cigarettes and a game punch board were taken sometime Tuesday night, according to owner Shannon Lee.

Thomas Pittman of 1732 Canoe Creek Road said someone took a stereo system from his residence Tuesday night while the family was in the process of moving. The intruder may have come in an unlocked door.

A 12-horsepower Briggs and Stratton lawnmower was taken from the C.L. Foley residence at 13153 U.S. 127, Dunnville, sometime Monday.
