The attendance at the Green River Pentecostal Church on Sunday morning was 316.

There were many visitors on Sunday morning. They came to be there for the celebration of Bro. O.C. and Laura Mae Robbins who have been married for 63 years.

Bro. O.C. and Sisters Dessie Lay and Edna Griffin sang some of the old-time gospel songs. Following church service, the congregation went across the road to the Fellowship Hall where there were tables full of food and dessert.

Bro. Rick announced Sunday that there will be a baptismal service on Sunday morning.

Bro. Lester Carpenter, Sisters Mary Jo Brown and Wanda Lawson were among the many visitors, and also Sister Alice Trent Mooningham. She and Bro. Trent were pastors of the Green River Church several years ago.

Bro. Josh Naylor preached at the Brush Creek Church on Sunday night.

Sister Jessie Wesley will be preaching at a church in Columbia, Ky., Friday night.

Some of the ladies from the church will be going to the Casey County Jail on Thursday night to minister to the prisoners there.

There are some men in the church that are in need of prayer for their bodies: Bros. Jay Plummer Johnson, Bobby Gifford, Jason Smith and Bruce Sidwell, who is a patient at the Ephraim McDowell Medical Center in Danville.

Michael Paul Burton visited his grandmother, Georgia Lewis, Monday. He lives near Glasgow, Ky. He recently graduated from college at Bowling Green.

Angel Food pickup is this Saturday morning from 9 until 11 a.m. at the church fellowship hall.
