Bro. Gary and Lucille King were back with us during early worship Sunday morning. He brought the message during Bro. Chris' absence. Bro. Gary has been the Director of Missions for Lincoln County since June. Bro. Roy Mullins brought the message for the 11:00 service.

There were 118 in attendance for Sunday morning and 49 in discipleship training on Sunday night.

Mike Miller, who works with Jeff Godbey at Phillips Lighting, spoke to the church Sunday night. He gave his very moving testimony.

We were glad to have Mary and Roy Mullins back with us Sunday. They went to Dayton, OH., last weekend to see their granddaughter, Angel Derkson baptized. Mary then stayed last week with them until Bro. Roy and she came back home Friday night.

Kathy Peek participating in a continuing education class on Saturday and Sunday in Danville with several other physical therapists.

Lloyd and Barbara Rice hosted a family reunion at their home for her family. Their children and grandchildren, along with the Hales, were present. Amid all the storms, hail, and lightning, they enjoyed dinner and games.

Melissa and Junior Rice, Sharon and Jeff Godbey, and Gayle and Rick Young went to Nashville, IN., on a motorcycle trip over the weekend.

Several of our members went to Somerset Saturday afternoon for a "Summer Fest" featuring live Christian bands and contemporary Christian music. Some of the bands that played were Live Fish, Building 429, Skillet, Pillar, and John Reuben. Cameron Mills, a former UK basketball player, was the guest speaker. Those attending were: Chris and Tracy Dalton, Brad and Heather Petrey, Ange Miracle, Tiffany and Christian Davidson, Paula and Shelby Meece, Danielle Rice, Laura Jenkins, Will Wright, Ricky Manning, Mary Ann Hazlett, Seth Perkins, Shawn Roberts, and Coty Sims.

The Beth Moore study, "To Live Is Christ" began Sunday night. Ten were in attendance. If anyone would like to attend and is afraid it is too late to sign up, you may still do so until after the next meeting. It starts each Sunday night at 5:30 p.m.

Jeff Godbey, Jeff Davidson, and Rick Young were going to the KBC Mission Trip Conference in Louisville this weekend.

Sept. 19: Pizza Hut fundraiser for the mission trip

Sept. 24: Spaghetti and salad lunch at the church for the Kentucky Baptist Homes for Children Food Roundup Month.
