News from Green River Church

The attendance at the Green River Pentecostal Church on Sunday morning was 326.

There was a baptizing right after Sunday School Sunday morning. Several people were baptized. One young man received the Lord Sunday morning.

Bro. Jason Coulter, Bro. David Lewis and Bro. Steven Carpenter attended a men's fellowship conference last Friday night at Jamestown.

Pastor Rick and Sister Timsa and Bro. Johnny and Sister Sheila Walls took a group of young children and some parents to an amusement park at Beech Bend last Saturday.

Bro. Jay Johnson was at church on Sunday morning. He has been in the hospital for some time. Also Peggy Barnett was at church Sunday.

Sister Linda Lewis prepared a birthday supper for Sister Donna Lewis last Saturday. Donna and Duane are expecting a new arrival at the end of November.

Sister Tammy Kilby is a patient at the UK Hospital in Lexington. She is in much pain from a serious surgery. She needs our prayers.

There will be an Angel Food pickup this Saturday from 9 to 11 a.m. at the fellowship hall.

The Green River Church is in a revival meeting this week. Bro. Mark Sarver will be the speaker on Thursday night. He is Bro. Glen Wilson's son-in-law. Bro. Todd Hopkins is the speaker on Friday night. There will be no service on Saturday evening. The Homecoming service on Sunday morning will be at 11 a.m. Rev. Buddy Turner will be the speaker.
