HARRODSBURG - A local man has been charged with possession of a handgun by a convicted felon, police said.
Thomas Hayden Sr., 64, of 468 Daviess St., was lodged in the Boyle County Detention Center Sunday without bond.
Patrolman O.C. Jones reported that when he went to the Hayden residence to serve an emergency protective order and a warrant for Hayden's arrest for terroristic threats, he saw the gun. The 9mm Ruger was in plain view on a light stand near where Hayden was sitting in a chair.
