Planners set Nov. 9 for Forest Creek hearing

October 12, 2006|Mike Moore

The Jessamine County-Wilmore Joint Planning Commission set a date Tuesday night for a public hearing for the Forest Creek development.

The meeting is scheduled for Nov. 9 at 6 p.m. at the Jessamine County Courthouse.

Planners also voted Tuesday night to recommend approval of two small zone changes in Wilmore.

The request was for a zone change from A-1 City to R-1 City for 3.73 acres and from A-1 County to R-1 City for 3.14 acres, located at the intersection of Jessamine Station Road and Combs Street. The lots will contain residential dwellings if approved by the Wilmore City Council, since the planning commission is only a recommending body in the matter of zone changes. The request was submitted by Carter Homes.

Planners also approved an amended development plan for Hickman Creek Kennel, submitted by Karen Linkous and Lisa Scott for property located at 2096 Union Mill Road.

Two other items on the agenda were continued until a later date.

An application for a cluster ordinance, Tates Creek Farm, was continued until the November meeting of the planning commission. The proposal consists of three tracts; 75.24 acres to be divided into 16 lots; 55.62 acres to be divided into 12 lots; and 120 acres to be divided into 25 lots.

Also, an application for a subdivision, Elysian Valley, was tabled until the next meeting because engineers are still working on refining the water shed run off.
