Velma Jean Taylor, 76, of Waynesburg died Friday Oct. 6 at the Britthaven Nursing Home in Somerset.
A native of Lincoln Co., she was born May 21, 1930 to the late Manford and Lela Chaney Hayes. She was a homemaker, member of Pleasant View Baptist Church, and the widow of Dallas C. Taylor.
She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Delmer Lee and James Hayes; and a grandchild.
Survivors include three sons, Michael and Dale Taylor both of Cincinnati, OH., and Randy Taylor of Stanford; one daughter; Regina Moore of Waynesburg; one sister; Sylvia Hines of Stanford; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Monday Oct. 9 at Barnett and Demrow Funeral Home in Waynesburg with Bro. Vola Brown officiating. Burial was in Double Springs Cemetery.
