STATE BUDGET COMMITTEE TO VISIT WINCHESTER
A joint meeting of the Kentucky House and Senate Appropriations and Revenue Committees will be held in Winchester on Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Clark County Extension Office, 1400 Fortune Drive.
Between sessions of the General Assembly, field hearings are sometimes held for the budget committee at locations outside Frankfort.
Rep. Don Pasley, D-Winchester, a member of the committee, said in a press release it is coming to Winchester to "highlight the accomplishments of our community." He said the budget committee rarely travels to locations outside the State Capitol.
Sen. R.J. Palmer, D-Winchester, said in his statement that he and Pasley were honored by plans for the visit.
"Winchester and Clark County are perfect examples of what the state is doing right," said Committee Chairman Harry Moberly, D-Richmond.
The meeting is open to the public.
