East Kentucky Power Cooperative will have a public scoping meeting Wednesday for the purpose of preparing a supplemental environmental impact statement to the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Rural Utilities Service regarding new generator facilities planned for the J.K. Smith Station at Trapp.The meeting is scheduled for 5:30 to 8 p.m. at Trapp Elementary School, 11400 Irvine Road. The format will be an open house, which means there won't be a speech or formal presentation, but representatives of the company and the federal agency will be available for questions from residents of the area and others.
There will be an opportunity for written comments, which will also be included in the study documentation.
