International Book Project sale

The International Book Project will host its annual fall book sale from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday and Saturday at the IBP warehouse, 1440 Delaware Ave., Lexington.The sale will feature thousands of books, covering a variety of fiction and nonfiction genres. Book browsers can choose from mysteries, thrillers, classic and contemporary literature, biographies, cookbooks, gardening books and much more. Children's books and home school resources also will be available.

All books inside will be half-off already low prices. Books outside the warehouse will be available for two dollars per bag. Plastic grocery bags will be provided. The sale will go on rain or shine.

For 40 years, the International Book Project has distributed books across the developing world and in underserved communities at home. In 2005, the non-profit organization shipped more than 170,000 volumes to 63 countries.

Proceeds from the book sale support IBP's advocacy of global literacy, educational opportunity and intercultural understanding.
