JOYCE HYLTON

Joyce Ann Hylton, 76, of 19 Seneca Drive, died at 1:25 p.m. Tuesday at Central Baptist Hospital in Lexington.

A native of Pikeville, she was the daughter of the late John Milburn and Lillian Elizabeth King Hylton. She was a retired registered nurse and head of the cardiovascular unit at Central Baptist Hospital in Lexington with 32 years of service. She was a Fellow at the University of Kentucky, where she received her nursing degree and was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Gloria Jean Burton.

Survivors include a sister and brother-in-law, Wanda Lee and Robert "Woody" Underwood of Lexington; two nieces and their husbands, Elizabeth Ann and Dwight Whisman of Winchester and Debra Lynn and James Grace of Irvine; a son, Robert "Bobby" Young and his wife, Betty, of Irvine; a lifetime friend and neighbor, Joyce Carol Bernard; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Memorial services will be held at Winchester Community Church, North Franklin Avenue, from 6 until 8 p.m. Saturday by the Rev. Joe Williams.

DESSIE LEE JOHNSON

Dessie Lee Johnson, 84, of 3 Sycamore St., widow of Everett Douglas Johnson, died at 11:47 a.m. Tuesday at Clark Regional Medical Center.

A native of Estill County, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Mayme Adams Baber. She was a retired employee of Curlee Clothing Company, a homemaker and a member of Trinity United Methodist Church.

Survivors include three daughters and sons-in-law, Judy and S.M. Anderson and Lisa and Scott McClure, all of Winchester, and Sandy and Tex Hounshell of Liberty; seven grandchildren and three spouses, Tammie and Foster Bartlett, Tonia and Doug Chanslor, Mark Case, Jana and Jeff Rich, Michael Hounshell, Eric Pitts and Joshua Pitts; three stepgrandsons, Kent McClure, Daniel McClure and Travis McClure; five great-grandchildren, Alexis Chanslor, Caleb Chanslor, McKenzie Hounshell, Austin Rich and Dustin Rich; a sister-in-law, Anna Clay Chism, of Winchester, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday at the Scobee Funeral Home by the Rev. Eric Patterson. Burial will be in Clarmont Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers will be Scott McClure, Jeff Rich, Eric Pitts, Doug Chanslor, Mark Case and Ray Snowden; honorary, Clinton Snowden, Scott Snowden, Dr. Harold and Debbie Moberly, Caleb Chanslor, Dustin Rich, Austin Rich, McKenzie Hounshell, Alexis Chanslor, Josh Pitts, Tex Hounshell, Michael Hounshell and S.M. Anderson.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. Thursday until the hour of service.

DELENA W. JONES

Delena M. Wright Jones, 76, formerly of Lexington, widow of Ted Jones Sr., died Tuesday at the Vandalia Nursing Home in Dayton, Ohio.

A native of Clark County, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Florence Wright. She was the former owner of H&R Block Tax Preparation in Mount Washington and was a member of the Winchester Cathedral Church of God.

Survivors include three sons and a daughter-in-law, Ted Jones Jr. and David and Nettie Jones of Lexington and Bill Jones of Nicholasville; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; four brothers, Eddie Wright of Winchester, Ray Wright of Dayton, Ohio; Fred Wright of Palm Bay, Fla., and Kenneth Wright of Dallas, Texas; two sisters, Elizabeth Elswick of Oklahoma and Anna Holland of Stanton; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday at the Scobee Funeral Home by the Rev. David Douglas. Burial will be in the Winchester Cemetery.

Visitation will be 6-9 p.m. Thursday.

JAMES A. LOVINGS

James Arthur Lovings, 64, of 11 Pocahontas Trail, died at 2:47 p.m. in the Hospice Unit at Clark Regional Medical Center.

A native of Madison County, he was the son of the late Arthur Earl and Valerie Booth Lovings. He was a retired carpenter and a Baptist.

Survivors include three sons and a daughter-in-law, Earl Ray Lovings and James David and Amanda Lovings, all of Winchester, and Jamie Lovings of Madison, Ind.; eight grandchildren, Holly, Aaron, Heather, David, Anthony, Courtney, Jacob and Ryan Lovings, all of Winchester; and several nieces and nephews.

Arrangements are incomplete at the Rolan G. Taylor Funeral Home.
