MURDER SUSPECT SOUGHT

Crime Stoppers is offering a $1,000 cash reward this week for information leading to an arrest in a Lexington murder.

At about 3 p.m. July 20, Theartice Wortham was on Hawkins Avenue near East Fifth Street. A gold van pulled up to him and shots were fired from the vehicle, striking him.

Wortham was taken to the University of Kentucky emergency room for treatment. He later died from his injuries.

The suspect in the passenger side of the van is described as a heavy set black male.

In a separate and unrelated case, Crime Stoppers is asking for help locating Yolanda M. Jackson, who is wanted by Lexington Police on charges of first-degree wanton endangerment and a felony count of theft by unlawful taking.

Jackson, 34, is a black female, 5-foot-5, weighing 200 pounds.
