Boyle Education classes

Danville-Boyle County-KSD Community Education program is offering the following classes. For more information and to register for a class, call (859) 239-8986.

Bridge for Beginners: 6-8 p.m. Nov. 1, 8, 15, 29, Dec. 6 and 13 at Boyle County High School. Will teach the basics of bidding and play. $25 plus $5 fee for materials.

Internet and Email Basics: 5:30-7:30p.m. Nov. 2 at Community Education. No previous experience required. $25.

Beginning Guitar: 6-8 p.m. Oct. 30, Nov. 6, 13, 20, 27 and Dec. 4 at Junction City Elementary School. Instructor is Dennis Preston. $50.

Rape Aggression Defense: 6-9 p.m. Oct. 31, Nov. 3, 7 and 10 at Inter-County Energy community room. The RAD system is a program of realistic self-defense tactics and techniques for women of all ages. The women-only course begins with awareness, prevention, risk reduction and risk avoidance, while progressing on to the basics of hands-on defense training. Instructor is Police Officer Sally Bustle. $15.

Skateboard 101: 6-8 p.m. Nov. 3 and 4 at Community Education and the skate park. Learn the lingo, techniques and safety precautions as well as determining the skateboard that is best suited for your skill. Parents and kids are welcome. Instructor are Dillon Sirmonghkon and Chris Elliot. $25.

Senior Citizens Class: 1:30-4:30 p.m. Oct. 30 and Nov. 1 at Community Education. $65.
