Walk-in flu clinic
The Lincoln County Health Department will hold a walk-in flu clinic on Friday, Oct. 27 from 8 a.m. to 12 noon and Saturday 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The Lincoln County Health Department will be closing on Nov. 7 at 11:30 a.m. to allow staff to vote.

Special tribute to Veterans
On Friday, Nov. 10, Lincoln County High School will pay special tribute to our military veterans. We honor them for exemplifying the true character of the American spirit - personal courage, love of country and devotion to duty. We ask that all veterans come to Lincoln County High School for a breakfast in their honor to be served in the cafeteria from 9 to 9:45 a.m. At approx. 10 a.m., a recognition ceremony will be held in the school auditorium. Be Lunch Guest of "Buckwheat" Gilbert
Come be the guest of "Buckwheat" Gilbert and courthouse staff on Tuesday, October 31 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Lunch will consist of beans, cornbread, country ham biscuits, homemade desserts, and drinks.
First National Day of Healing
There is a world out there that is sick and dying. Isaiah 6:8 Ministries, as well as ministries around the world, will be participating in the First National Day of Healing, held Oct. 28. Fellowship of Believers Church in Junction City is hosting National Day of Healing, which was founded by Charles and Frances Hunter of Hunter Ministries. We are located at 10 Shelby Street, on the corner, across from Grider's Furniture. Hours for this event will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. For further information, contact Donna Conder at 606-346-2319. Regular times for the Healing Rooms are the 2nd and 4th Mondays of each month from 6 to 7 p.m. Isaiah 6:8 Ministries is a member of the International Association of Healing Rooms.
Lincoln County MAPP coalition to meet
The Lincoln County MAPP coalition will meet on Oct. 30 at 4 p.m. at the Lincoln Co. Health Dept. basement conference room. Diabetes Support Group to meet
The Lincoln Co. Diabetes Support Group will have its regular monthly meeting on Thursday, Nov. 2 at 2 p.m. at the Lincoln Co. Extension Office. This month the group will be doing a recipe exchange. LCHS Marching Band holding chili supper
The Lincoln County High School Marching Band will hold a chili supper, Friday, Oct. 27 from 5 to 7 p.m. in the LCHS cafeteria. Cost is $5 for adults and $3 for children 10 and under. Meal includes chili, sandwich, dessert and drink. Everyone welcome.
Butchertown Community chili supper
A chili supper will be held at the Butchertown Community Center on Saturday, Oct. 28 starting at 6 p.m. Homemade chili, desserts, hot dogs with or without homemade chili sauce and soft drinks. Additional items will be auctioned. All proceeds to benefit the Butchertown Community Center. The Butchertown Community Center is not responsible for accidents.
LCHS Cheerleadings selling poinsettias
The Lincoln County High School cheerleaders are selling poinsettias at a cost of $8 each. To place an order or for more information, call Cathy Grubbs at 606-365-9459. Expected delivery date will be Dec. 6.
