Danville-Boyle County-Kentucky School for the Deaf Community Education program is offering the following classes. For more information and to register for a class, call (859) 239-8986.

Bridge for Beginners: 6-8 p.m. Nov. 1, 8, 15, 29, Dec. 6 and 13 at Boyle County High School. Teaches the basics of bidding and play. $25 plus $5 fee for materials.

Internet and E-mail Basics: 5:30-7:30 p.m. Nov. 2 at Community education. No previous experience required. $25.

Beginning Guitar: 6-8 p.m. Oct. 30, Nov. 6, 13, 20, 27 and Dec. 4 at Junction City Elementary School. Learn fundamentals, proper playing position and tuning techniques. Instructor is Dennis Preston. $50.

Rape Aggression Defense: 6-9 p.m. Oct. 31, Nov. 3, 7 and 10 in the Inter-County Energy community room. The RAD system is a program of realistic self-defense tactics and techniques for women of all ages. This women-only course begins with awareness, prevention, risk reduction and risk avoidance, while progressing on to the basic of hands-on defense training. Instructor is Officer Sally Bustle.

Skateboard 101: 6-8 p.m. Nov. 3 and 4 at Community Education and the skate park. Learn the lingo, techniques and safety precautions as well as determining the skateboard that is best suited for your skill. Parents and kids welcome. Instructors are Dillon Sirmonghkon and Chris Elliot. $25.

Chinese Language and Culture: 6-8 p.m. Oct. 30, Nov. 6, 13 & 20 at Centre College Doherty Library. Class will teach the basics of Chinese language and culture. Instructor is Jing Zhang. $30.

Christmas Card Class: 6-9 p.m. Nov. 9 at Boyle County Middle School. Create eight Christmas cards ready for the giving, including envelopes. Instructor is Judy Bernard. $22 plus $15 for materials.

Telephone Etiquette: 5-7 p.m. Nov. 8 at Community Education. Learn the five forbidden phrases that you should never use. Help your companies grow and become more professional. $17.

Your Professional Image From Head to Toe: 6-8 p.m. Nov. 9 at Boyle County High School. You never have a second chance to make a good first impression. Instructor is Karen Caswell. $12.

Senior Citizens Class: 1:30-4:30 p.m. 1 Oct. 30 and Nov. 1 at Community Education. $65.
