Horn will take clerk's job seriously

October 31, 2006

Dear Editor,

The time for another election is fast approaching and I am concerned, as I have been for many years, as to who gets elected to serve. The way things are going in our nation, state and county, we Democrats and Republicans need to get out and vote to bring about some much needed changes.

I am particularly concerned about the office of Mercer County clerk. As you know, I served there for 31 years and know how important this position is. Keeping your records straight is not a trivial matter, or something to be taken lightly, but is a very serious business.

I believe that Chris Horn is the best choice for this office. I know that he would consider this to be a serious responsibility. He would be available for people to talk to, not staying behind closed doors, but would be a part of the workforce as a county clerk should be. I believe that Chris would be fair and impartial to everyone, regardless of political party, race, religion, or standing in the community.

I believe Chris is a good, Christian man with exceptionally high morals. He comes from a nice, hardworking family that I have known and been associated with for many years. By talking with people who know him through his work, I know that he is faithful, hardworking, good at his job, and has the ability to conduct the affairs of the county clerk's office as they should be.

Chris is a soft-spoken, very mannerly man. He is also a man of integrity who desires to be your public servant. I strongly urge you to support and get out the vote for Chris Horn as your next Mercer County clerk.
