Veterans' recognition luncheon

Perryville First Christian Church - 12:30-2 p.m. Sunday, veterans will be honored with a community soup and sandwich luncheon. The cost is $8 for adults and $4 for children 8 and under. Donations will benefit the church building fund.

Bazaar

St. Andrew Catholic Church Christmas Bazaar - 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Nov. 17 and 9 a.m. -2 p.m. Nov. 18 at the church on U.S. 127 in Harrodsburg. Lunch will be served 11 a.m. -2 p.m. Admission is free; lunch is $5.

Music

Mount Salem Baptist Church - 6:30 p.m. Sunday for gospel singing featuring New Dawn of Casey County. The church is on Ky. 198 between McKinney and Middleburg.

First Baptist Church of Junction City - 6 p.m. Sunday, JC Praise will be in concert. This is the last of the 2006 concert series. JC Praise performs a blend of contemporary Christian and Southern gospel songs, along with some traditional church hymns. Members of the group are Vicki Andes, John and Lisa Ducker, Larry Kendrick, Susie Kendrick and Jeff Pendleton. The church is 2 miles south of Danville's Wal-Mart at 3860 U.S. 127 South. Special services

Hustonville Christian Church - 2:30 p.m. Sunday, the church will have a dedication service for Maas-Rowe Carrilon chimes installed in August. The chimes are dedicated in memory of Herman and Naomi Campbell Reeves and were given by Jimmy and Barbara Ann Reeves Cooper. A reception will be held in the fellowship hall after the service.

Allen Chapel Church - Sunday, the church is celebrating Family and Friends Day. The 3 p.m. speaker will be the Rev. Ralph Smith of St. Peter AME Church in Harrodsburg. Dinner will be served at 1:30 p.m. The church is in Moreland.

Revivals

Gethsemane Baptist Church - 6 p.m. Sunday and 7 p.m. Monday through Wednesday for Operation Network. Evangelist is the Rev. Don Whitt, with music lead by Steve Evans.

Philadelphia United Baptist Church, Brodhead - Nov. 16-18 with the Rev. Matt Church. Following the revival, Saturday services are canceled until spring.

Fundraiser

Christ the Head Missionary Church - 5 p.m. Saturday, a quilt will be given away at Wilderness Road Quilt Store to raise funds for the church. The store is at 104 Man O' War Boulevard. For more information on the fundraiser, call (859) 936-7300. See the quilt at www.WildernessRoadQuilt.com.

Pastor's anniversary

St. Paul Predestinarian Baptist Church - 11:30 a.m. Sunday, speaker is Juan Kinley, and 3:30 p.m. Sunday, speaker is Raymond Walker. Celebrating pastoral anniversary of Barry Bowman. Dinner will be served after morning service and a reception will follow the afternoon service.

Unity in the Community worship service schedule

The following are the dates and times of worship services to be held during the Unity in the Community revival series, along with the host churches and names of the local pastors who will be delivering sermons at those services.

Sunday at 7 p.m. - First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), 555 E. Lexington Ave. with sermon by the Rev. Willie Newby, pastor of First Baptist Church of Perryville.

Monday at 7 p.m. - St. James A.M.E. Church, 124 E. Walnut St., with sermon by the Rev. John Estorge, pastor of Grace Presbyterian Church.

Tuesday at 7 p.m. - Cornerstone Assembly of God, 2035 Old Lexington Rd., with sermon by the Rev. Ben Carter, pastor of Christ the Head Missionary Church.

Wednesday at 7 p.m. - First Baptist Church, 200 W. Walnut St., with sermon by the Rev. Andy Turner, pastor of the Danville Church of God.

Thursday at 7 p.m. - First Baptist Church, 317 W. Broadway, with sermon by the Rev. Herbert Dunn, pastor of Second Street Christian Church.

Nov. 19 at 4:30 p.m. - Danville High School auditorium with remarks by the the Rev. Tim Mathis, pastor of First Baptist Church on Broadway, and the Rev. Everhart Walker, pastor of Allen Chapel A.M.E. Church, Moreland.
