Mr. and Mrs. Jay Spencer of 20 Casey Lane, Okeechobee, Fla., formerly of Winchester, were honored with a reception on Nov. 29, at the Golden Corral in observance of their 50th wedding anniversary.
Spencer and the former Betty Lou Smith were married here Nov. 29, 1956.
Spencer is a former employee of Rockwell International, and his wife is a retired hairdresser.
Hosts for the event were their children and their families, Evelyn and Wilbur Powers and Anthony Jo Spencer of Winchester and Donnie Jay Spencer of Lafayette, Ind.
The couple also share six grandchildren.
