Danville boys basketball coach Craig Pippen has denied rumors that he has resigned, or that he will resign at the end of the season.
"There is no truth to that at all. I am actually enjoying my job here now more than I ever have," Pippen said. "The kids are working hard and we're doing things like the character enrichment; and a lot of teaching, a lot of coaching.
"I'm in a situation now where everything is going in the right direction, and I have no plans to leave."
Danville athletics director Sam Harp also heard rumors Pippen was resigning, and even had people from Harrodsburg calling him about those rumors. But Harp said Pippen had not said anything to him.
Pippen said he wasn't sure how or why the rumors were started.
"I guess people are bored," he said. "Or maybe it was on some people's (Christmas) wish list."
