McDowell Wellness Center, a service of Ephraim McDowell Health, is offering lifeguard certification classes in January and February.
The schedule is:
Jan. 26, 5-9 p.m.
Jan. 27, 8 a.m.-6 p.m.
Jan. 28, 1-6 p.m.
Feb. 3, 8 a.m.-6 p.m.
Feb. 4, 8 a.m.-noon
These lifeguard certification classes are approved by the American Red Cross. The course includes lifeguarding, CPR for the professional rescuer, AED, Administering Emergency Oxygen, Community First Aid and Bloodborne Pathogens certifications.
