Football banquet winners

Clay Martin won the Joe Bordas Award during the George Rogers Clark High School football banquet held at the high school.Martin's father, the late J.W. Martin and Bordas, were best friends in high school. Martin lives in the same residence Bordas was raised in as a child.

Other award winners were as follows:

Defensive Lineman: Tristan Jones.

Linebacker: Martin.

Defensive Back: Michael Clark.

Ballhawk: Clark.

Defensive Player of the Year: Clark and Jones.

Offensive Lineman: Andrew Liggett.

Offensive Back: Clint Greene.

Receiver: Robbelle Rogers.

Offensive Playmaker: Greene and Dougie Mason.

Offensive Player: Greene.

Special Teams Player: Clark.

Academic (four-year senior): Clint Wagner.

Most Improved: Stephen Farmer and Steve Charles.

110 percent Cardinal Award: Adam Craig and Clark.

AllDistrict: Greene (RB), Jones (DE), Rogers (DB), Martin (LB), Clark (DB), Liggett (OL), Craig (OL).

All-Conference: Jones (DE), Greene (RB), Clark (DB).

Co-Captains (players vote): Martin and Jones.

Joe Bordas Award (players vote): Martin.
