If you're looking for a sweet-natured dog who loves to cuddle, you've found her. Princess is a medium-sized 1-year-old who loves both people and other dogs. Most of all, she loves to be petted. She would make a great house pet. She is among the animals available for adoption this week from the Danville-Boyle County Humane Society.
Other adults include two German short-haired pointers, a boxer mix and a Jack Russell terrier. Puppies include Maya, a white husky mix; Lulu, a hound-Lab mix; Wendy, a small breed mix; and many others. Cats and kittens include two Persian adults, a tortoiseshell adult and several others.
The adoption fee of $75 includes spay-neuter surgery, first vaccinations (including rabies), de-worming, feline leukemia test for cats and Boyle County dog tag for dogs. Shelter hours are 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday.
The next free obedience class will be 1 p.m. Saturday at the Danville Convention Center on the bypass. And remember, unneutered pets contribute to the pet overpopulation problem. Please spay or neuter!
